| Bucksville House Bed & Breakfast |
First off, I just gotta say that if you want a nice, QUIET
get-away for a weekend, you need to call the Bucksville House. The owners,
Barbara and Joe, are the nicest people you could meet. They make a darn good
breakfast too! Anywho, on to business...
My wife and I decided to book a weekend at the Bucksville
House after hearing word that activity had been on the rise in recent weeks.
We've been to the Bucksville House on three previous investigations, all
of which yielded some very positive results. So on March 30, we packed our
bags and headed north! We spent most of the Friday daylight hours at the
Bucks County Historical Society, pouring over records and histories, finding
out all we could on the Bucksville House and the man who built it, Captain
Nicholas Buck. We know it was operated as a Tavern/Hotel from 1808 all the
way up to the 1930's(even though prohibition was in full swing). Sadly, we
were unable to find any deaths that were recorded within the house. I know
that sounds morbid, but we were looking for a reason behind some of the haunting
activity.
Friday night was fairly calm, as far as activity. I
was able to capture a few pictures of an orb in the common room. As Donna
and I were going over some documents, I had the distinct impression that
someone was sitting in a chair in the corner. I picked up my camera and fired
off two shots, both show an orb in the chair.
Saturday daylight hours were spent finding all the graves
to all the members of the Buck family and putting all the little pieces of
the puzzle together. As luck would have it, just about all of the family
had stayed in the area and were buried in the same cemetery. We were able
to solve little mysteries of who married who and how the Bucksville had managed
to fall into certain hands.
Saturday night was a bit more eventful and exciting.
It was the middle of the day when Donna hit the hay for a little nap. about
a half hour later I got a feeling that someone else had entered the room.
What's weird was that I felt like they were looking at Donna. What's cool
is that I snapped a picture and got two orbs floating by her head.
Later that night I had two experiences, the first taking
place in the attic. I walked up there around 11 PM and stood at the top of
the stairs, between the bedroom and the sitting room(It's a suite). I started
talking out loud, saying things like "Hi, my name is Kenny and I'm a friend
of Barbara and Joe." When I said that they(Barb and Joe) said I could be
up here", I felt a chill air hit me in the back and eel like it went through
me. The air came from the bedroom, where I have had positive results in the
past. I turned and snapped a picture, catching an orb by the window-which
was closed. I checked all the windows to be sure it was not a draft I had
felt. My next experience happened back in our room, which incidentally is
the Nicholas Buck Room. I was sitting on the bed holding my camera. Donna
was asleep so I decide to do a little meditation. I have found that this
helps one to be more aware of their surroundings, thus making them more able
to pick up of the activity of ghosts. In a few minutes, I was in a relaxed
state. I then felt that someone was there in the room. Ya know that feeling
you get when somebody is right next to you? That's what I felt. Then I felt
someone blow into my face. It was like when you blow a kiss to somebody,
only there was no kiss sound, only the rush of air. It came from only a few
inches away and felt cool. Again, all the windows in our room were checked
and double-checked. None were open and none were drafty. I was so startled
that I got a shiver and fell out of my relaxed state. I opened my eyes but
saw nothing. I assure you I was not dreaming, for I stayed up for another
two hours. I did get some orbs in our room that night, but they're too faint
to post.
