Reported Activity- There has been several documented cases of activity at this location. A red-haired young woman, a little girl and two shadow forms have been observed. The majority of the EVPs on our site are from this church. All of the documented activity can be found through out our website, in the Case Reports, Pictures and EVPs.
Investigation Report-
We began the investigation a bit late this time around,
due to circumstances beyond our control. Even before the investigation began,
Steve and Kenny had experiences in the stage area of the church. Steve, while
sitting down listening to some people talk, heard a whisper behind him. It
said one word..."Turn". As he did, he found that there was no one behind
him at all. During the same time, Kenny also heard a whispered word. There
were a few peopel acting out a scene from a play. They were doing a mock
prayer service, ending it with a "Amen". Kenny states that he heard a woman's
voice respond with another "Amen". A few minutes later, the subject came
up in conversationand Kenny had said he had heard Donna say Amen. She had
no idea what he was talking about.
After some time, we met several other peopel who worked at te church. Two of them had stories they wanted to share with us. It seems that we're not the only one's who have experienced the little girl. One of the men told us that while up on the balcony, working the the lights, he looked up to see this little girl standing on the opposite side of the balcony. He said he looked up several times, even calling out to her that she should not be up there. The girl never moved, just constantly stared at him. He looked up once again and the girl was no where to be found.
Everyone who was visiting the place finally said thier goodbyes and went home. We moved our gear in and set up in our usual "Safe" room.
1st Session
Our first order of business, have a group recording session in the main area of the church. We've had, on several other investigations, a shadow figure observed on the second floor of this area at this time. So we set to work and spread out among the floor, balconies and in the second floor rooms.
Patty began, since she is our unofficial "spokeswoman" when we do recordings. Within the first two minutes, we had a hit. Patty asked if they could give us a sign that someone was there with us. Immediately, motion sensor #3 went off. It was positioned towards the front of the church…which was odd since it's a place we really haven't had too much activity. Patty had reported that she kept seeing the light over by the dressing room, start to flicker off an on. She also noticed that the door to the dressing room was now slightly open. This is the are that the motion sensor was covering. This area, obviously, was put on our list for our next visit.
About half way through, Steve, Patty and Kenny heard a metallic noise come from the center balcony. As we discussed what it sounded like and where it came from, we heard it again. The sound was of metal hitting metal, like "two swords lightly tapping each other", as Patty describes it. Patty and Steve also reported hearing footsteps moving about up on the balcony. We checked the positions of the investigators who were up there. None were in the area, or caused the noise.
At this same time, Diana reported hearing movement in the center room of the bell tower. She also reported that the room became very cold towards the end of the session, but warmed up again about 10 minutes later. Heather reported hearing heavy footsteps on the stairs leading up to the balcony.
2nd Session
We decide to split into three teams. Team 1 included Donna, Diana and Heather. Team 2 included Steve, Dan and Mike. Team 3 was designated the "Camera Team" and composed of Kenny, Patty, Hank and Irene. Team 3s job was to simple document the sessions (of the 2nd and 3rd teams), maintaining camera positions in specific areas. (We wanted people manning the cameras so that any activity, when encountered, could be focused on from all angles quickly)
Team 1 (Donna, Diana and Heather) conducted an EVP recording session in the main body of the church, with help from Kenny and Patty. Although the session seemed to be inactive, we did find that we obtained several EVPs, which have been reviewed and added to the site.
Team 2 headed to the finished basement. This area had been under some construction since our last visit. We found it a little different then the last time we were here. The team reported nothing unusual while down there.
3rd Session
This session had Team 1 and 2 switching places. Team 2 came in and set up in the main body of the church. During this session, Team 2 did not experience any activity…no sightings, photos or recordings.
Team 1 (which was joined by Irene), were set up in the basement. They reported the same thing as Team 2, no unusual activity down there.
4th Session
For this session, we got together for a group recording in the theatre section of the church. We positioned ourselves all over the area (The Doll room, Mrs. Piggy room, on the stage, on the floor and in the balcony). During this session, Kenny witnessed a "shadow" figure move from a wall into a row of chairs. It ran past about 4 chairs in the row before it faded out of sight.
Steve was sitting near the back row in one of the chairs. Steve kept looking to his right, up at the balcony (where the picture was taken). He felt like someone was there. Later on during this session, Patty said she saw movement in the corner of the balcony. Donna took a picture
Donna, who was positioned on the floor, took only a few pictures this night (7 to be exact), and she seems to have obtained our best photo to date. Several of the investigators kept hearing noises in one corner of the balcony. The problem with this is there is an apartment on the other side of the wall, and at times we could hear the people moving about. This may it impossible to tell whether it was coming from them (the tenants) or from something else. However, after hearing some noises, Donna snapped a couple of photos. When she snapped one particular picture, she caught the unmistakable image of the little girl. It appears as a silhouette of a little girl in a dress, standing in the corner, with her left hand actually holding onto the railing. (The picture was not discovered until almost two weeks later). We've posted the photo, but we will be analyzing it again and again to rule out every possible cause.
Diana and Heather were located in the Ms. Piggy room, and reported witnessing a black form move past the doorway towards Dan, who was sitting a few feet away on the balcony. This form actually blocked out the light that was shining into the room.
5th Session
This last session was hard for most of us. It was approaching 4 AM, but we decided to go ahead one more time in the smaller area of the church. We spread out among the floor, stage and balcony. While scanning the floor area with my night vision, Kenny witnessed another (perhaps the same) "shadow figure" run, yes…run towards the center stage (from the right-Kenny's View) where Patty was sitting. Kenny called out what he saw…as the figure disappeared. Several EVPs were also recorded during this session as well. They were reviewed and several have been posted to the site.
During this session, Diana was able to capture an anomaly with her camera. This photo is, at this time, determined to be unexplainable. It will be posted for all to see and give some input on.
As Steve was sitting, he heard the chair to his left and behind creak as if someone sat down. No one else was sitting around Steve at the time. While Patty was on the stage, she also saw movement go towards Kenny (who was sitting on teh balcony) from the Miss Piggy room.
Heather reported feeling a light touch on her shoulder several times, after Patty had asked the question "Can you do something to let us know you're here?".
Conclusion and Impressions-
Kenny's- As with all of our previous investigations, I absolutely believe that there are several entities here. The owners had mentioned that activity was down, almost to nothing. We come back, we get a few OK results at first, then find out we got 5 good EVPs and an excellent photo! What's my point? Perhaps we have become familiar enough to these entities, that they respond to our presence, as we respond to theirs. I think they've gotten used to us and feel that they can "make some noise".
The little girl seems to be our most documented entity. We have historical information telling us this was indeed a Sunday School, in which children attended on a regular basis. We have reported sightings by residents and visitors alike. We have a sighting by one of our own members. We have several audio recordings of a little girl's voice…and now we have a photo. To me, this is finally enough proof that there is, without a doubt, a spirit of a little girl here.
Steve - Steve was surprised that he heard the chair creak, and heard someone whisper, "turn" to him. Where Steve heard "turn" was the same area that he heard the creak.
Patty - Patty didn't think there was a lot of activity while we were there. She was surprised at how much activity we got after we left, including the EVP's and the photos. She thinks we were a little excited and may have seen or heard more things if we were more relaxed.
