Investigation Report

Arrival- The first member to arrive was Jeff, to set up his DVR system and cameras to cover the Basement area, 2nd floor hallway and Attic area. Other cameras were used to cover the main bedroom, our “Safe” room and for additional Attic coverage. Patty laid out the teams and the plan for the evening. Three teams were assigned, with adjustments for team members who could not make it.

Team 1 included Kenny and Greg (G2)
Team 2 included Mike and Stephen (guest investigator)
Team 3 included Patty, Jeff and Stacie

Session 1

Team 1 headed to the Main Bedroom. As we entered the room, Greg and Ken took positions in opposite corners. They spent the first ten minutes getting comfortable and relaxing from the tension of getting everything set up. Average temperature was 70 degrees. When Greg first sat down, he had a feeling of someone standing behind him, but dismissed it due to a mirror being directly behind where he was sitting. There were several times in which both Kenny and Greg’s cameras would not operate when pointed at this same area. Kenny began the EVP session after taking several reference photographs. About 30 minutes into the session, Kenny observed the head of a figure, approximately 38 inches tall, move about 6 to 12 inches towards the corner where Greg was sitting. Kenny was not looking directly at the figure, but its movements caught his attention. Kenny had looked at it straight-on for a fraction of a second; there were no features to speak of, more like a distortion resembling a child. The sighting took him by surprise at first, but photographs were taken at the time. The rest of the session went smoothly.

Team 2 headed out to the backyard. This area was interesting, since it backed up to an old cemetery (which had seen better days). There have been reports of some strange events that originate in this area, but the team had no details of what they were.  There were times you could hear rustling in the grass/weeds but it could have easily been a critter. Stephen witnessed a shadow standing by a tree on several occasions, but evidence of this was not able to be obtained. There was a strange chill at one point and the owner of the residence said she felt it too and to take a picture over her shoulder, which Stephen did.

Team 3 headed down to the basement for the first session. During the EVP questioning, Stacie reported a feeling of claustrophobia overcome her. She had difficulty breathing and felt very uncomfortable. Patty had also reported feeling a “heaviness” to the basement that lasted the entire session. Patty reported having a flash vision of a man he described as follows; in his early 40s with brown hair that was turning grey, he was clean-shaven and about 5’9” tall. Broad shoulders. Patty stated that he was standing next to Stacy, Just standing there, not doing anything.

Session 2

Team 1 headed down to the Basement, where G2 and I set up in opposite sides again. Average temperature was 68 degrees. Although we heard footsteps above us (on the main floor), I believe it may have been the owner (who had been sitting on the couch when we went down to the basement). The rest of the session was uneventful.

Team 2 headed to the Main Bedroom. Mike changed out a video tape and Stephen began the EVP session. There were some possible sounds heard (once I heard what I thought was a grunt) but none of the other sounds seemed to be out of the ordinary. No other activity reported in this room during this session.

Session 3

Team 1 was joined by Team 2 for a session in the attic. Kenny, Mike, Greg and Stephen spread out around the single room of the attic. Ken began the EVP session, with Greg and Stephen taking turns at asking questions. Mike, who was sitting near a small door that went to a storage room, heard movement from this room on two occasions.

Team 3 set up in the main living room area. There was not much to report during this session. However, Patty reported a “freezing” feeling come over her. Inside the house, the temperature was in the 70s… but Patty could not get warm, even after she was wrapped up in a blanket. Only after the session was over and we began packing up the gear, did Patty finally get over the freezing feeling.

Conclusion

Kenny- I was extremely interested in this site since our team had conducted the Preliminary Interview and Investigation, in which Jeff was able to capture several EVPs. After the first session tonight, I have the idea that there is something in the Main Bedroom. This is also where the EVPs were captured previously. I am not sure of what I witnessed, since the majority of the “entity” was hidden behind the bed, but I do not believe it had an easy explanation. The image was localized, and it appeared behind the bed…but in front of boxes piled in front of the window. I had also witnessed “Light Patterns” from headlights coming in from the windows – this image did not follow the gliding motion that headlight from a moving vehicle will cause. The image was also too low; from the front of the house, we were three stories above the street. All the lights coming in through the windows came in at an extreme angle, well above where this image was.

Even with the lack of activity in the rest of the house, I would like to perform a follow-up at this residence at a later date.

Steve (SG1)- Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for the most part it seem very quiet except for the few items listed above (shadow, strange chill, rustling and a possible grunt) but there was not way to prove anything as of this moment. Note that I have yet to go through all evidence.. this is just a preliminary report to list some of the experiences while they were fresh in my mind.

Jeff- Nothing at all happened to me during the investigation. No sights, sounds or out of the ordinary smells. I was extremely disappointed because after reviewing a digital recording made of our initial interview with the client, I found several EVPs. I highly expected to, at least, capture some audio evidence but did not.

All in all, the night was a total bust for me.
