Bushkill Falls Private Residence A Joint Investigation with the |
Date of Investigation- February 3, 2007
Members Present- Jerry, Meredith, Chris and Crystal of Panther Valley. Ken and Jeff of PIRA
Location-
Site Information- Single house, 2 ˝ levels. Two bedrooms are in lower level, with two baths (one master bath). Middle level consists of Living room, Dining Room and Kitchen. There is a Loft which consists of a small room.
Reported Activity- Footsteps walking across the main floor have been heard from the lower level when no one else was in the house. A voice has called out the owner's name. Friends who stay the night report feeling a presence, being hugged. Electrical disturbances (TV turning off and on, lights go on and off).
History- The house was built in 1981. The entire area was owned by Native Indians.
Investigation Report- We arrived at approximately 6 PM and met with the owners. After catching up on recent activity, we began to break out and set up our equipment. Jeff and Kenny set up four cameras connected to the central DVR system. Two cameras covered the main floor, with a third independent video camera covering as well. The two remaining DVR cameras were set up in the bedrooms (one in each). Another independent video camera was set up in the main bedroom. We attempted to place an enhanced microphone in the main bedroom, but found too much interference. We could do nothing to rectify the problem and the cause is still unknown.
Much of the night was quiet, from my point of view. I sat quietly with several members of the PVPS at different locations throughout the night. The main floor (which included the living room, dining room and kitchen), as well as the loft area, seemed to have no activity what-so-ever. No one reported any abnormal events during the course of the night. Any footsteps made by anyone on the main floor easily transferred through to the lower level.
Both bedrooms seemed to be where the activity was, which went along with what the clients have stated in prior interviews. An EVP session was conducted with the Daughter and two PVPS members. The Daughter asked the members to leave the room, as she felt the entity was there, but would not come in the room as long as the members were there. The daughter rushed out of the room several minutes later, only stating that she could not stay in that room. She appeared very upset and shaken by the experience.
Kenny took position in the smaller bedroom alone for approximately 30 minutes. Within that time, he heard a sliding door almost constantly being moved back and forth. The sound was coming from just behind the closet in the small room (the wall adjoins the master bedroom). Jeff and Jerry were in the master bedroom at the time, and when questioned later, found to have been sitting on opposite sides of the room and not against the wall in question. Furthermore, there is no sliding door against the wall in question. The source of this sound is still not known.
The team decided to take a break to go over the audio files and look at photos. When we were about to resume, Kenny headed down to the bedrooms to show Meredith where he had had an experience. As Kenny was moving past the doorway to the master bedroom, he clearly heard a male voice say “Hey, come here”. After a momentary pause, he walked into the master bedroom and answered “Ok, I’m here. What do you want?” Meredith, who was standing at the bottom of the stairs, heard a "Hey" or "Hi" in response.
The remainder of the night yielded little more. Our investigation ended at about 1:30 AM.
Conclusion- Until the experience I had in the master bedroom, I was not convinced that anything was there. However, since I was able to confirm the experiences of the owners, I have no doubt that something is there. The initial visit may have served to acquaint the entity (or entities) with us. I suggest another investigation concentrated on the two bedrooms. I would also like more time in order to find the cause of the microphone interference. It should also be noted that we had some interference with the DVR system. If possible, an overnight or weekend stay would allow sufficient time for solutions and investigation.
All the video footage was reviewed, with no positive results. Audio clips have yielded some positive results that need to be reviewed just a little further. Photographic evidence was negative.
