O'Neill Headstones

St. John's Cemetery
Old Roman Catholic Cemetery

Plattsburgh, New York

We visited Plattsburgh, New York in 2003. Below are a few pictures that were taken of the Old Roman Catholic Cemetery. You will be able to see the neglect of the past and the remorse of the present.

Our Nice Welcome

Many of the headstones that are erect are not where the graves are.

When my cousin, Jean, discovered the headstone pieces, they were not in a row like you see above, but scattered.

This stone marks the approximate burial location of Owen O'Neil and his parents, John and Margaret in Plattsburgh, New York. This stone was made in 1998 after my cousin, Jean Dunbabin, discovered that the original cemetery headstones had been destroyed.
