Howdy Gang:

It felt like forever since the last gig - seeing so many shows in one week can really spoil a person (oh to be so lucky for another 6-show week).

Sort of a strange night on many accounts. A very light turnout tonight, perhaps because of the plethora of other music happening within an hour's drive. It never seems to matter - we bring our fun with us when we walk in the door.

The first set had some ups and downs, but the super hot Laced in Silver opener set the stage for a fairly exploratory night. All in all, I can't remember a show in the last 3 months with more total exploration - tonight's "Deep Space Jam" in the middle of Obsession certainly made last Friday's Blue Star "space" seem quite tame. Set 2 started quite a bit tighter than the first set - the Jump for Joy was certainly one of the tightest jam versions in a while - this set the stage for way out there versions of Deal, Sedona and Obsession. Set 2 was cut short by the need to close down early, but we had our fun.

Tonight, the merch table featured a new schedule with some early dates for April. It also included an announcement that the new studio album, "Steppin' Off A Star", should be available in April, with pre-orders available prior to celebratory CD release parties. Gotta check this one out - some masterful work indeed :)

Tomorrow we head down south to sunny Maryland - yeehaaaaaah!

On a more somber note, please keep Mark's mom in your thoughts and prayers - we're all hoping for a complete and speedy recovery!
