The First set was totally off the hook. We seemed to get the beefed up version of every song. I was about at optimal buzz as the show started and kind of zoned out right before Box of Rain hit. At that time I forgot that I was keeping the setlist and thought that I may have spaced out during a song or two after She Don't Mind.

Turned out that I didn't miss anything, they were just jamming hard. Box of Rain was great and then we got a rendition of the new song "Son". At this point it started getting serious.

Son, Ya Mar, Calling, were all killer.

We may have gotten one of the best ever versions of Sugaree. When this type of thing happens, you tend to pull out some old Dead disk and remember how great this song can be.

I've become quite a conissour (sp?) of Twiligth Dance sandwiches. Last night I heard one pretty sweet version of Twilight>Crimson>Twilight. Again, this was another combo that I don't previously recall ever hearing and it was great. Crimson fit nicely in the mid-twilight section.
