NOTES: Lineup for entire show - Will Dennis on Bass, Tim Morris on Guitar with Mark, Ivan, and Gus.
Highlights for me included:
Jungle in My Heart: Mark went to town during his solo. One thing that I really love about this song is when they jam really hard and then bring it to a mega-climax before hitting the final vocals. This was a great version.
Obsession: Good trippy choice for this event. This is the second far out Obsession we've gotten lately. Could this song that seemed to be more of a rarity lately be making a comeback?
Twilight Dance: Another great version. This night we got the Twilight>Same Thing>Twilight Sandwhich. I always think in my mind that this is the classic Twilight combo.
Legalize It - this was very appropriate and encouraged the crowd to express their freedom at this event that was right in the middle of who cares Lancaster County. Gus broke out a Verse from "Windora Bug" right in the middle of the which seemed to acknowledge his fellow Phish fans out in the crowd.
I'm not sure who actually penned Windora Bug, but I know that Trey Anastasio pulled this out in his 99 solo tour I believe and Phish has played this a couple of times. I like Windora Bug and it was cool to her Gus break this out.
He may
have caught the rest of the band off guard when he broke this out as it
seemed to be right out of the blue and was finished almost as soon as it
started.
