Howdy Gang:
I could go on and on and on and on about this show (and I'll fill in some of the highlights tomorrow when sleep makes things a bit more clear). Suffice it to say, we "tore the roof off the sucka."
Mucho more abducted added to the fold, and we even impressed a few other bands and promoters... good things to come in the future.
Bubblechick and Tracy managed to sticker the entire festival (or it sure seemed like it), and Bret and Art added that needed touch of professionalism to our family gathering. It was simply a wonderful night (or actually morning).
Thanks so much to the super kind festival folks that made us feel right at home!

With a tank that
HAD be be running on fumes, Juggling Suns pulled out yet another incredible
show in Crystal Springs.
With less than
quality zzzs available - the WV State Little League Tourny was also at
the hotel- the band loaded in around 4pm and was then treated to a "breakfast"
of sorts by owner and chef Martin biafora. Grilled shrimp, tederloin, vege
delights seemed to please all...back at 9 30 for the start of the show.
With a direct
tribute to the Graham children, the set opened with their 2 favorites...Mt
Marlane and Jumpin Over Ashes. A crispy Get Back and another kid friendly
verse for Forrest in Shootin Teqilla had all the generations with smiles
[Where DID that kid learn to dance??]. Max the dishwashers night was made
with Loser, and somehow Mark D and the boys had the perfect answer for
the high energy experience of Sunshine Daydream only a few hours earlier.A
wild Circle of light, Cats are the Martians Open Road Arthurs Pipe finished
off what seemed to be an endless first set. Where in the heck did the energy
come from?? I'm still a little dumbfounded at that.
To the delight
of the 150 patrons who PACKED SMokin joes for his biggest night EVER ["3bills"],
Set 2 got underway with See You again, a really emotive Wicked history
and with Fortune Teller, the spinning and twirling was in full swing throughout
the deck, bar and dance floor...kids, lawyers, the county prosecuter, his
dad the federal judge, a bunch of college kids in from Kentucy, school
teachers, a lady from London, and bunch of blown away waitresses, a few
of my PA students, the Elkhenge gang, James, my nephew and a bunch of people
I dont even know and it was just, well, another one of those nights....
MArtys 3 am breakfast
for family and band, Briannes 11am massage from a therapist in the crowd,
and the JS are headed home with big grins, I'm sure...Peace till November

THat Fortune Teller exploded into a RACOUS Other One, which again made me wonder where in the world the source was....Tabla Rasa identified the "way abducted" in the crowd, which for the WV weekend averaged 98% Sedona was a beuatius ballad, Velvet Sea from gus was insightful, and somehow you could feel that the whole entire buzz of the last 2 shows wwas winding down, that is until Bruce made one last statement with a slammin Forbidden Fruit [? a single there??] ANd the band effort on the Violo closer was simple spectcular once again. you know cheek cramps from the HUGE smiles....they encored Cant Get No Satisfaction, but from everyone I saw, there was plenty more than "satisfaction"!!!! Till Nov in WV, adios...HG

Howdy Gang:
I didn't see the setlist posted, so here it goes (this will need to be verified when I get the chance to listen to the tapes).
Another truly inspirational night - Bruce was huge!
On behalf of the band, thanks soooooo much to Marty, Tony and the rest of the gang at Smokin' Joes. To Bret, Sue, Cassidy and Forrest - again, we can't thank you guys enough for all of the love and support. Thanks for making it another weekend we'll never forget. Seeing Forrest get his groove on at his first full show, and singing all the words to the songs like he has been to every gig, was simply priceless!
