Welcome to my Floaty Pen Home Page

Hello! Welcome to the “Inland Empire”, Spokane Washington in particular. Spokane is the ‘largest’ city east of Seattle, west of Minneapolis/St. Paul and north of Salt Lake City. Not to mention a beautiful two hour drive north to Canada. If you’re still lost, follow I-90 east from Seattle.

Residents of Spokane and Eastern Washington refer to the West siders of the Cascades as, "the wetsiders" while we on the East Side are referred to as "drysiders." I'm a transplanted "wetsider" and love the dryside. Spokane is a farming community famous for wheat and lentils grown outside our northern, western and southern city limits. To our east and northeast lie forests of Ponderosa Pines and the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. 35 miles east of Spokane is Lake Coeur d'Alene. East of there lies Idaho's Silver Valley in Kellogg and Wallace. Spokane sits on a high desert and averages 12.5 inches of precipitation per year.We enjoy all four seasons without extremes in temperatures and humidity. About 150 miles to our west along the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mts. and following the Columbia and Wenatchee Rivers and north through Lake Chelan are orchards of grapes, apples, pears, cherries and peaches. North in British Columbia lie the Headwaters of the Columbia River as do Canada's finest orchards

Spokane is the proud home of Gonzaga University (The Bulldogs), a college basketball powerhouse and noted for it's excellent School of Law and Jesuit Seminary. To our south is Pullman, home of the Washington State Cougars. A college football powerhouse, WSU is nationally noted for their Schools of Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Horticulture and Hospitality.

Spokane's luminaries include the NBA’s John Stockton, baseball’s Ryne Sandberg and NFL’s Mark Rypen, Drew Bledsoe and of course, the late Bing Crosby. The computer games RIVEN and MYST are also Spokane products. And please, no mayoral jokes, we've heard them all.

In 1974, Spokane hosted Expo ’74, for which a floaty pen was commissioned. Since I have been collecting, I have been able to locate three Spokane floatys. Dou you know of others?

I AM OPEN TO ANY TRADE OFFER FOR OLDER WASHINGTON, SPOKANE, SEATTLE OR NORTHWEST PENS - MY 2 FOR YOUR 1...yadda yadda yadda, I'll dicker. PLEASE CHECK MY TRADING STOCK.

I've been collecting Eskesen Floating pens for about 10 years. The first eight years my collection fit loosly in one casino change bucket. Late in 2002, I got bit bad and my collection took off. I have set limits and they are defined in "my trading pens" section. Today I have seventeen casino change buckets loaded with floatys and three buckets for trading pens.

I promise to keep my trade pens current and dated.

Here are the areas of my collection:
American pens
Canadian pens
Foreign & Transportation Pens
People, Sports, Advertising & Strippers
