Welcome to my diggings! I am a New England mineral collector who enjoys trap rock and pegmatite quarries for their macro- and micromineral offerings.  To make up for my relative lack of collecting skill, I talk and write alot about minerals, thereby shoring up my "expertise". I firmly believe that the story of a mineral find embellishes that specimen. Mineral lore accrues as its own treasure. While you can't download a mineral specimen from the VUGSTER, the story attached is another thing. What follow are some of the sparkling gems from that great vug inside my head...
