I am a magistrate in the county of Nottinghamshire. I have been a magistrate since 1974 and am now the deputy chairman of the Nottingham bench. I frequently gives talks about the work of a magistrate to adult groups and schools. I am a member of the Magistrates Association and a member of the Nottingham Magistrates Social Committee.
I attended Long Eaton Grammar School (LEGS) from 1955 and have been actively involved in planning school reunions. since 1983 (7 so far!).
I am the President of Attenborough Lawn Tennis Club and also an honorary life member.
I am a Governor of Nottingham High School. My husband and two sons both attended Nottingham High School.
I founded the Attenborough Ladies Hockey Club (no link).
I was a Queen's Guide and have been a Brownie Leader (Brown Owl) since 1961.
I am a member of the Attenborough Parochial Church Council (PCC). I am a sidesman and active member of the local church, Attenborough St. Mary the Virgin. I am chairman of the Church Social Committee.
I am a committee member of the Lucy & Vincent Brown Village Hall.
I am a trustee of two charitable trust funds.
I am a founder member of the Cover Point Health Club.
I am married with three children and seven grand-children.
For fun, I like to cruise on our boat, Sapphire II.
