| Without Measure, a vocal sextet from
the San Francisco Bay Area, performs a wide range of choral literature, from Classical to
Jazz. The name reveals a lot about us: it is scriptual, imaging God as immeasurable; most
of our performances involve sacred music and are integrated into worship services. It also
refers to music of the Renaissance written without barlines or measures. Lastly, it speaks
to the impossible task of categorizing what kind of singing group we are: we are
commited to performing excellent music, regardless of its quantifiable style. |
