The Game

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, released in 1991, is the stunning sequel to The Secret of Monkey Island. It featured improved backgrounds, and more puzzles then the first game. Guybrush, who has changed his look and grown a beard, arrives on Scabb Island. Having defeated the ghost pirate LeChuck, Guybrush now seeks a new adventure: to find the legendary treasurer "Big Whoop". As the name of the game would suggest, however, Big Whoop isn't Guybrush's only concern. LeChuck is back as a zombie pirate now, and is not only still in love with Elaine, but also sore over his humiliating defeat at the hands of Guybrush Threepwood.

Guybrush manages to run into Elaine, LeChuck's sidekick Largo, and a lot of Voodoo in this game, not to mention likely the weirdest ending to a computer game ever.

Versions

Monkey Island 2 was released in PC 256 colors, and for the Amiga computer system. The game can currently be purchased at the LucasArts company store, and can be found in most computer stores in America inside either the "LucasArts Archives vol.III" or the "LucasArts Classics: Monkey Island" package.
