Endurance Sports Nutrition, a
great general reference book / bible that has nutritional sections
focused on Ultra-distance efforts. |

|
Triathlete's Guide to Mental Training. This
book got my mind wrapped around concepts of how to break down 24-hours
into smaller segments, and how to stay focused on the moment. Something
Barefoot Ted would call "being in the present."

Swimming to Antarctica. Tales of a Long
Distance Swimmer. This book was a huge inspiration when it comes
to the mental game of battling the elements and pushing through,
as well as appreciating those who come to support in your endurance
endeavors.

Born to Run. The principles of allowing
your feet to adjust and send feedback to the rest of your body apply
to running and skateboarding alike. Also an entertaining and enlightening
read about some of the characters that endurance events draw.
