Grace Baptist Church is hosting an Introduction to Missional Church Learning Communities. A missional church is "an authentic community of faith that primarily directs its ministry focus outward toward the context in which it is located and to the broader world beyond." We invite you on this missional journey with us as we seek God's Spirit and ask the important question, "What is God asking of the church today as we serve in this time of change?"
The Rev. Glynis LaBarre, Transformation Strategist of National Ministries will be present to facilitate this five hour workshop. During the workshop missional church will be defined, markers of a missional church will be explored and an historical perspective will be given. Churches are encouraged to send at least 3-4 people to this event. Lunch is included. Grace Baptist Church is asking a donation of $10 per person to help cover the costs of lunch. Please register attendance by contacting Dennis Glover (dennis.glover@gmail.com). This is well worth the trip to San Jose!
