- This page used to be called Countdown to Independence Junction. I
had to pull my layout from the Layout Tour of the NMRA Convention
because of (1) home renovations that are taking longer than expected;
(2) additional responsibilities at work; (3) work on club layout for
Layout Tour; and (4) an increased interest in virtual railroading via
Trainz.
- Work however is continuing, albeit at a slower pace, on the physical
layout. I was able to purchase four more Tortoise switch machines with
a gift certificate from one of my sons. Another son gave me a small
grove of trees.
- A couple of months back, I constructed tree backdrops from
poly-fiber batting, cardboard, and ground foam. They look pretty good.

2005 |
- Installed additional Tortoise motors on main track at Pembroke East
- Replaced SwitchMaster motors on main track at Pembroke East with
Tortoise motors to take advantage of contacts for eventual position
indication feedback to PanelPro.
- Purchased 49 trees with Christmas gift certificate and temporarily
"plated" them in Wycombe Village

- Completed yard throat to interchange/staging tracks on Farnsworth

- Worked on new software for car forwarding using Microsoft Access

enhance operations until Millboure Mills is built (Phase II)
- Repaired lumber shed for Mitchell Lumber & Co, Pembroke
