Useful things I have learned as a QSL Manager: Working with Winty has improved my own QSL success rate tremendously. These are my observations, but I believe most QSL managers would agree with me. Self-sealing envelopes are much easier to handle. The relative humidity is high at times here, and pasted envelopes may seal themselves by the time they arrive. One alternative is to place a piece of wax paper between the envelope and its flap. Placing an unfolded smaller envelope inside a larger one also makes things easier. QSLs sent via the bureau are handled on my bureau account, and this is one of the nice things about being a QSL manager - I receive bureau shipments more often and get my own cards sooner. The down side is that mailing the cards is charged to my account. This also applies to the cards I send via the bureau. Unless I am backlogged, I try to put in a personal "Thank You" to all direct QSLers who send a contribution. Please know that contributions are appreciated, even if I don't include a personal note to you. One of the more entertaining aspects of being a QSL manager is the expressions I receive from the postal employees when I hand them an SASE addressed in a non U.S. script. They usually tell me I have to write the destination country so they can read it. The personal friendship I have developed with Winty has been a very enjoyable part of the hobby, and I have learned many things from our exchanges.
QSL information for N1KI: Receiving QSL's is a pleasure, and SASE's or IRC's are not necessary to receive mine. I regularly upload to ARRL's LOTW. If we have had a QSO that does not match on LOTW, please e-mail me so we can get our logs in agreement. All QSL's and SWL reports are greatly appreciated.
QSL information for T40C: T40C is a contest station operating in major CW contests from Havana Cuba. I usually receive T40C's logs soon after the contest ends, and I upload them to LoTW and eQSL. QSL's with SASE are returned direct, all others go via the bureau.
QSL information for CO2WF: Winty is one of the crew ofT40C. He is very active on CW and PSK31. He sends me frequent log updates, and I try to keep his eQSL account up to date. QSL's with SASE are returned direct, all others go via the bureau.
