"Thomas Jefferson Breakfast Machine" posted. I have many more ideas to paint. Keep checking back!
A couple of weeks ago I couldn't stop drawing dreadlocks. The idea for the "Dreadful Apartment" came about because I was thinking that the word dreadful should mean that something is covered with dreadlocks instead of meaning that something is distasteful, horrible, etc. Can you imagine a chair upholstered in dreadlocks? Or a dreadlocked carpet? (I only penciled in a few strands of the carpet because I was too lazy to draw the rest).

This next image is a drawing of the Rastafarian singer featured on the poster in the image above. This drawing is called "the Dreadful Great." I'm finished drawing dreadlocks for a while, though I just noticed yesterday that I've been drawing 'em all wrong. Next time!
Recently, I designed the image for the front of
Plug In Music's first annual holiday postcard. It was done in black ink, scanned, and digitally manipulated. Here is a scan of one printed on green cardstock:
Here's a sketch I did on the train the other day. I was thinking about people who make bootleg mixes and violate copyright law and stuff...and that it would be funny to have an DJ with this name.
The following is a test to see how I will display my sketches in the future:
This is the first entry for the
PatrickDevlin.com news page. Information included here will be stuff like new paintings, links to other websites of interest, events, and sometimes sketches that I have done.
