Mississippi Kites

Prince William County Virginia
First sighted by Jim Pearson on May 16, 2004

Information indicates this may be the second recorded nest in Virginia and possibly the northernmost in the U.S. this year. These birds are present in the court on which the Pearson's live.

The pictures below were taken by Tim, Tony and Sue. I appreciate them sending them along to me.

As of June 11, we've had close to 80 known visitors to come see and photograph the birds.Visitors are welcome but please contact Jim Pearson via email for directions and some comments on times of the best possible viewings. As always, please remember that these birds live on a public street and try to protect the privacy of the residents. Thanks
