|We have each been touched
by the rays of light emanating from Guruji's fullness in some way...by
being in his presence, by reading and studying his inspiring words and
writings, by practicing his teachings that we are honored to receive through
the gifts of his many teachers. May you each pause today to reflect
in gratitude on the many gifts of yoga that continue to bless your life.
May you continue to honor and be inspired by this extraordinary human being
in your heartfelt practice of all the limbs of yoga.
This is his wish for us, as
he expressed in Light on Life; 'I do pray that my ending will be
"And this was my true task,
to be the music of the body.
Do you understand?
For truly the body needs a song, a spirit, a soul.
And no less, to make this
work, the soul has need of a body,
and I am both of the earth
and I am of the inexplicable beauty of heaven
where I fly so easily,
so welcome, yes,
and this is why I have
been sent, to teach this to your heart."
