Eclipse 2006 Trip

Day 0 - Getting There

We arrived at Tampa International Airport, Tuesday, March 21 for a flight to Charlotte, with connecting flights to Munich, Germany and Genoa, Italy. The weather was fine for March and our flight from Charlotte to Munich (8 hours) was less than half full, so we were able to stretch out a bit. As the 3rd quarter Moon rose in the early morning, it was nicely framed by the planes wing tip. The flight from Munich to Genoa was a short hop over the Alps. It was mostly clear so we got a couple of nice shots through the window. Genoa was nice, and even though we had slept almost none in the past 36 hours, we were there and on our way.

Our grand-daughter wanted to stow away with us. 100_2699.jpg (81687 bytes)
