In Agony They Linger, In Pain They Cry,
In Helplessness They wait, In Loneliness They Die.
The Other Side Of Pet Connection

When you walk into Pet Connection's Shelter for homeless cats and kittens
this is what you see;

happy, friendly, loving, purring, clean, healthy cats and kittens. What most of the potential new “feline parents” fail to see is the critical side of what the volunteers at Pet Connection deal with daily. The many tears that fall upon those floors, of a lost battle to save a precious life.

These kittens are one example of the many homeless felines that have been needlessly abandoned and the cruelty of what is done to them without care. Pet Connection consists of dedicated people with caring hearts who donate their time, their love, their compassion to rescuing and saving these helpless cats and kittens. Thousands of dollars and many long, tedious days and nights go into caring for these animals abused by societies failure to see the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. Obviously by the condition of these kittens the owner of the mother cat did not want them or they
would not have been abandoned and near death.

It is not about nature taking its course and handling the over-population of cats and kittens by their cruel death. It is about the lack of human concern for the responsibilities we take when we "choose" to have a pet! Those kittens would NOT have been born if the owner of the mother cat had her spayed!

Society has the "choice" to "choose" to be a responsible pet owner or the "choice" to "choose" to create a problem Pet Connection volunteers have "chosen" to clean up. Domestic cats did not just fall from the sky and homeless cats did not just crawl out of the sewers, society put them here.
Look at these kittens again;

Does it look like they have the ability to take care of themselves like so many  people think when they “choose” to abandon them?

A charitable, tax-deductible contribution made to Pet Connection is NOT a waste of your hard earned money.
Look at  the end result of one of the above kittens
who now resides in a loving home
.

Not a penny wasted! Unfortunately no amount of love, compassion or medical care could save the other two kittens. But those caring for them dedicated 100% of  their hearts and souls to saving those helpless babies cast aside by an unfeeling person.

It's your own personal "choice" NOT to like cats or kittens but please DO NOT ignore the efforts of those who are trying to clean up what irresponsible cat owners have done!
