A Windows
application, coded using Microsoft Visual C# 9.0
(Codename Orcas, Express Edition) An application to visually display (map) data from the Hipparcos Catalogue, in conjunction with data from the Historically Corrected NGC (HCNGC). The Hipparcos (HIgh Precision PARallax COllecting Satellite) Catalogue is one of the products of the European Space Agency's astrometric mission, Hipparcos. The satellite returned high quality scientific data from November 1989 to March 1993. The HCNGC is a product of the NGC/IC Project. |

A Windows
application, coded using Microsoft Visual C# 2005
(Express Edition). Screen is updated every second, can be paused, and adjusted for day or night (red background) viewing. Latitude and longitude settings are controlled via a simple configuration file. Calculations performed using algorithms from NOAA's Sunrise/Sunset Calculation web page. Source code available here. Visual C# is available from Microsoft's website (Express Edition is free). |

A simple Windows application,
coded using Microsoft Visual C# 2005 (Express Edition). Converts to/from Degrees/Minutes/Seconds and Degrees. Also provides (arc) sin/cos/tan calculations. Values can be cut/pasted to/from Calculator. Useful for Spherical Trigonometry. Source code available here. Visual C# is available from Microsoft's website (Express Edition is free). |
