Special thanks for  Kestrou’s pictures in the http://www.glocktalk.com .45GAP User’s Talk Forum, The Bull Dawg’s Club:

In case you haven't seen the new case in detail:

A comparison of the 45ACP (left) in Winchester White-Box to the 45GAP (right) loaded cartridge, casing, and bullet (230Gr vs. 200 Gr). The bullet weighed 199.6Gr, and miked out almost exactly to the same diameter as the 45ACP (.4510" for the 45ACP vs. .4495" for the 45GAP), but the bullet height is definitely different (.613" for 45ACP vs. .539" for 45GAP), thus the overall height of the round was 1.212" for 45ACP and 1.066" for 45GAP:

One important thing is the 45GAP uses a "small pistol primer", so you won't accidently run it through your loads of 45ACP:

Here's a good "macro" shot of the 45GAP primer:

The powder in the Lawman cartridge was 8.1 grains of a very fine flake powder:

Here's a few "pretty shots":

I did some detailed measurements, and in classic Glock-style of re-using as much tooling as possible, this is very much a "wide slide" on a "thin body".Here's some shots comparing the G-37 to the G-17:

The frame of the G-17 (it's a 3rd Gen "GSSF" model) is so close, the slides are interchangeable between the frames.

The slide is nearly identical with a "wide-slide", except for the "roll" at the bottom edge, shown here:

Also, here's a shot of the magazines for comparison:

Just for fun, I tried putting a 45ACP round in the chamber of the G-37 barrel and (luckily!) it would not fit. Here's visual confirmation, first with 45GAP (which fits):

And second with 45ACP (which clearly would not allow the slide to come forward):
