I have been programming with Java since January of 1998. I was working on a project that I was hired for as a C++ developer, but the management team decided we should use Java instead. The company I was working for at the time brought in Deitel & Deitel to bring us up to speed in Java by going through their course Java for C/C++ Programmers.
