INSHORE FISHING.

Welcome to Captain Pelon's Inshore Fishing Join me for an adventure on the Golfo Dulce in pursuit of Rooster Fish, Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Bonito, and whatever else we may coax onto our lines. All tackle provided. Fly-fishing enthusiasts are welcome to bring their own gear. My method consists of "slow trolling" two live baits off the stern while you can cast lures from the bow. Surface lures such as Rebel's "jumping minnow" can produce explosive top water strikes for a variety of species while we wait for "The Big Ones" to take our baits. Pick up from your door is at 6:00 AM with return around 1:00 PM. Snacks/soft drinks are provided. You are welcome to bring your beverage of choice.

RIO COTO RIVER TOURS

Another way to explore the fauna and wildlife of the southern Pacific zone is by way of a "River Tour". We will navigate our way up the mangrove lined Rio Coto to what can seem like a trip back in time. This is truly a bird watchers paradise with photo opportunities at every bend. Many species of wetland birds such as Egrets, Herons, Ibis, Plovers and the distinctive Roseate Spoonbill inhabit this area. Other favorite sightings are Toucans, Parrots, Kingfishers and many bird of prey including Caracaras, Falcons, Hawks and the majestic Osprey. Our adventure usually include sightings of crocodiles and Cayman old enough to know the history of the river personally. Orchard lovers may be delighted with some of the species offered from the river's banks. This trip is usually 3 hours and preferably around the higher phase of the tide. Tours can also be scheduled for sunsets or a little fishing at the river mouth.

SNORKELING TOUR

The Golfe Dulce provides abundant rock pinnacles, home to many interesting varieties of tropical fish. Three hours of exploring these calm waters with visibility up to 60feet offer the keen eye sightings of Parrot, Wrasse, Angel, Trigger and other surprise visitors. Gear provided...or bring your own"
