2007 Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand 10.00/36.00


 

Flavors of citrus, lemon zest, nettles, pineapple-tropical fruit, and white currant, with a

touch of minerality. It's a natural with fresh fish and shellfish in a wide range of preparations,

from sushi to grilled, and a good match for dishes that include herbs, capers, green olives,  goat cheeses, and citrus.

 


 

2006 Sauvignon Blanc, Stellenbosch, South Africa 10.00/36.00


 

Subtle tropical aromas with hints of passion fruit and citrus. A balance of minerality are

the main themes with nuances of "green" notes and a crisp supporting acidity.

This wine, with its bright citrus and under-lying tropical fruit notes, would be

perfect with foods that have both briny and chile-spice flavors.

 


 

2006 Sauvignon Blanc, Russian River  Valley– California 10.00/36.00


 

Classic pale-straw color with rich pineapple, grapefruit, and tropical fruit

layers and a touch of herbal "green" sauvignon notes. Fresh aromatic herbs such as basil,

dill, mint, lemon grass,  and cilantro work well with this wine.

For something different we are featuring a sparkling sake. A bubbly surprise served

with champagne flutes.  We also have two red wines that are an exceptional match with many of our seafood dishes.  Light enough for summer dining yet full of bright fruit flavors and soft tannins.

 

Hana Houhoushu Pink Sparkling Sake

~two glasses per bottle ~  20.00

Hana means "flower" in Japanese. This special and unique sparkling sake has a

natural infusion of hibiscus and rose hip that is present in the flavor of this

low alcohol, bubbly sake.  Try this with some of our Asian inspired dishes.

 

 2004 Rivola Cabernet Sauvignon/Tempernillo Blend, Spain  9.00/32.00

This full flavored yet  light Spanish wine is a perfect match for more robust seafood dishes such as the fisherman's stew or the Mediterranean spiced tuna dinner.  An elegant and well balanced wine that is very approachable  and wonderful for warm summer nights

 


 

2006 Picket Fence Russian River Pinot Noir  40.00

Elegant, fruit forward style, with lots of mouthwatering Bing cherry and

raspberry flavor, but it has a luxurious density in the mouth feel. Its fruit,

coupled with the velvety texture, make this a superlative example of Russian

River Pinot. A great match for the goat cheese or tuna appetizer.
