The mysterious Mr. "E" was a "daring defender of justice" who assisted the authorities in combating espionage and other crimes.

Mr. "E" had a subterranean temple beneath his home where he appealled to a wise and powerful god of the ancients known as "King Kolah" for guidance and assistance. King Kolah is a "remnant of an extinct civilization who teachings proclaim the violent destruction of evil and injustice."

King Kolah would present Mr. "E" with visions to lead him to criminals. The god would also send "tiny messengers" to assist Mr. "E." The "tiny helpers" were small elf-like creatures who could assume the shapes of many creatures. These "tiny helpers" also worked to keep Mr. "E" out of trouble, wreaking havok upon the plans of criminals.

Mr. "E" appeared in Dynamic Comics nos. 9-23 and Punch Comics nos. 1 and 2.
