The mysterious Mr. "E" was
a "daring defender of justice" who assisted the authorities in combating espionage
and other crimes.
Mr. "E" had a subterranean
temple beneath his home where he appealled to a wise and powerful
god of the ancients known as "King Kolah" for guidance and assistance. King Kolah
is a "remnant of an extinct civilization who teachings proclaim the violent
destruction of evil and injustice."
King Kolah would present
Mr. "E" with visions to lead him to criminals. The god
would also send "tiny messengers" to assist Mr. "E." The "tiny helpers"
were small elf-like creatures who could assume the shapes of many creatures.
These "tiny helpers" also worked to keep Mr. "E" out of trouble, wreaking
havok upon the plans of criminals.
Mr. "E" appeared
in Dynamic Comics nos. 9-23 and Punch Comics nos. 1 and 2.
