Publication Date: March 1946
Publisher: Columbia Comic Corporation
Allen Turner decided to dedicate his
life to building the perfect airplane after his parents were killed in a plane crash caused by
the use of sub-standard materials in the plane's construction. After honing his mind and
body in college, he developed the Wing, a plane capable of flying at speeds over 800 mph.
Turner used the Wing and a red, white & blue
costume to fight crime and espionage as the Skyman. The Skyman also employed other scientific items in
his battles against crime, including his disintegrator ray, the Automatic.
The Skyman appeared in Big Shot Comics
1-41 and 43-101, Sparky Watts 1 & 5, and Skyman 1-4.
