Welcome to the Pyroman and American Eagle Pure Excitement Comics "Double Feature" CD-ROM!

This CD-ROM features 14 great stories starring Pyroman and the American Eagle which have not previously appeared in the pages of Pure Excitement Comics, along with a bonus 15th story starring another great Nedor hero, Capt. Future.

Pyroman first appeared in late 1942. I will not detail his origin, however, because that is the first story presented on this CD-ROM. Pyroman could hurl electrical bolts and, by means of his control over magnetic fields, fly. His secret identity was not known to his girlfriend, Joyce, but it was known to his mentor (and Joyce's father), Professor Clark.
   Pyroman appeared in Startling Comics 18-26 & 28-43 and America's Best Comics 3-8, 10, 12, 13, 17-22, 24, 28 & 29.

The American Eagle and his sidekick Eaglet were two of the many patriotic heroes of the Golden Age. The American Eagle was in reality a young scientist named Tom Standish who worked for the government. A mysterious black ray endowed both him and his young pal Bud Pierce with the flying and fighting qualities of America's national bird. As the American Eagle and Eaglet, they used their power to battle for liberty and justice. Their adventures usually saw them combating Nazi or Japanese saboteurs and invaders.
The American Eagle appeared in Exciting Comics nos. 22-27, 29-38, 40-47, and 49-50; The Fighting Yank no. 18; and America's Best Comics nos. 2, 6, 7, 10-12, and 14. The American Eagle's first appearance and origin was in America's Best Comics no. 2. Eaglet's first appearance and origin was in Exciting Comics no. 22.

Capt. Future was in reality Dr. Andrew Bryant. A secret beam fortified his body and gave him amazing powers which he used to combat crime and espionage. His companion in his adventures was a woman named Grace, who was, of course, unaware of his double identity.
Capt. Future appeared in Startling Comics 1-40 and America's Best Comic 1-3, 5 & 22.

The Bonus Material section also includes the covers of a handful of other comics featuring the heroes (size and quality varies). Please do not duplicate or distribute this CD-ROM or its contents in any way, including, but not limited to, posting the images contained within onto the internet or usenet. Feel free, however, to let your friends borrow the disc, just don't make them a copy -- it's cheap enough that they can buy their own!
