Dumas Poe was the last of the "Gun Masters," the descendants of Kattak Po, inventor of firearms. Regretting his invention, Kattak Po decided to dedicate his life, and the lives of all his decendants, to efforts to keep guns from being used for criminal purposes.

The eternal spirits of all past Gun Masters live on in the Circle of Elders, the group to which Dumas Poe reports.

Gun Master appeared in Clue Comics 10-12 and vol. 2 no. 1 through vol. 2 no. 3.
