Raised in India, George Chance was the foster son of an immortal yogi teacher. The yogi's teachings endowed Chance with a great number of mystical powers. He could levitate, travel at the speed of light, animate inanimate objects, and, as his name would suggest, transform himself (and others) into invisible astral form.

From Thrilling Comics no. 12: "A master of yogi magic, George Chance, alias the Ghost, wars on crime! He is aided by beautiful Betty Morris, whom he has brought into the 20th century through the evil Professor Fenton's great time-machine."

The Ghost possessed an array of magic-based powers which at times seemed almost limitless. If those powers were not enough to get him out of a hopeless situation, he could summon the mythical "Yogi Fathers" to his aid.

The Ghost appeared in Thrilling Comics 3-40, 42-44 & 46-52.
