These are pictures of the flowers in our back yard. They are in a sort of nursery bed until we finish landscaping and move them into their proper homes.
Pictures of spring flowers just because Fred liked them. He also wanted to play with his new camera.
Fred misses his old iris bed. This is the first year that we've had one bloom in this yard.
These daffodils will be naturalized in a large mulched area under some trees.
Here are the "triffids" growing in our back yard, just past their blooming peak. On the right is a yardstick to show how tall they are (over 6 feet!). The "short" plant to the right is actually the top half of one that broke in the recent storms. Next year we think we'll use tomato cages. At the base are a non-mutant daylily and our iris.
Fred looked straight ahead for the previous shot. In this one he looked up at the flowers. They're about 6 inches wide. Get the seawater!
Several forsythia (or yellow bells as Susan calls them) are near the screen of pine trees at the property line.
Pictures taken on May 14, 27, 2006; July 2, 2006; April 1, 2007.
