These are pictures of the renovations we're making to our house and yard.
We started with new garage doors and a new driveway with a pad for the Truck.
New dimensional shingles changed the appearance. The rest of the exterior is due to be replaced.
"Fred's Shed" let us move stuff out of the garage and basement.
We replaced the gas furnace and added a heat pump for the second floor. Along with new insulated siding and tinted windows, the house is much more energy efficient.
The new compressors are on shelves to keep them off the ground.
The first floor now has a stone veneer facade. The new porch column has been primed but work isn't finished yet. The front doors and lights were also replaced.
The shed has power! We put a floodlight and receptacle on the front. Inside is another outlet and an 8-foot fluorescent fixture.
Here's the back of the family room again. You can see the new siding, windows, doors, and gutters. We haven't installed new lights yet.
The new gutter guard looks like dental molding and adds some nice details.
The narrow front sidewalk was replaced with a wide serpentine one.
Compare this view with the very first picture.
The grassy area will be landscaped in the spring.
Dot inspecting the new construction.
We added downlights over the mantle.
The fireplace screen is from China.
Fred finally got the deck that he wanted.
We replaced the basement stairs railing so everything matches. The tree by the stairs has since been removed.
The stairs are angled to make the deck more interesting.
Look at all that space waiting for furniture and a hammock.
The deck looks bigger when you get further away.
