DEAN'S MESSAGE

GREETINGS FROM THE NEW DEAN:
As I begin my tenure as dean of our AGO Chapter, I am suddenly aware of all the wonderful work that has been done prior to my start.  Many kudos to Isabel Copeland for her outstanding leadership during a period of difficulty with her health.  I am sure she covets our prayers.  Joan Turner has been a true rock of Gibraltar with her many duties that she handles with ease and excellence.  Paul Roy, Miriam Haddon, Joann Richardson, Peggy Maurer and others have been a Dean or Sub-Dean at one point or another.  They all continue to work at assigned tasks with their usual steady competence.

As we begin the celebration of “International Year of the Organ”, we need to focus on ideas for interesting chapter “Events”.  Get your thinking caps on and come prepared to make suggestions at the breakfast meeting on Saturday, September 20th, 10:00am to noon, at Pat’s Cookie Jar & Bakery, on Wheaton Way in Bremerton.  If you haven’t eaten at this restaurant, the food is delicious.  We have many exciting things to discuss regarding the October 19th kick-off concert at Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church.  Many of our members have already begun work on the program.  If you are not involved in the concert at this point, there are many, many things that need to be done.

Mary Boehmer needs our support as she rehabs from a knee operation so that she may return to playing.

See you on the 20th of September!
