Well, here we are. I am going to take you on a little tour of things related to linguistics: Languages, Sites, and Constructed Languages. I am planning (eventually) on entering graduate school in the field, to head towards research, and possibly teaching. In the meantime, I don't qualify as much more than a well-informed polyglot; I am conversant in English, German, and ASL, and have a basic knowledge of French and Mandarin Chinese. I can manage to get a hotel room using Modern (Demotic) Greek if I have to, but that's about it.
Beyond that, my love of the field of phonology and phonotactics has led me to study the structures of many other languages. Thus, I know a fair bit about the sounds in and syllable formation rules of languages, and have inevitably picked up a little knowledge of morphosyntactic structure as well.
The following are
some links you can explore, while I get this site firmly established.
Have fun exploring the Worlds of Language! Quick note:
I have just moved stuff into new subdirectories, and I *think* I've found
all the bad links, but please let
me know if you find any.
| Constructed (Artificial) Languages - Web Site Dealing with invented languages. | Linguistics Resources - A site providing a wealth of information on the topic. | This webpage is "In Association with Amazon.com". See the PPG for more info. |
| Some Constructed Languages I have created. | The Phonology Phreak's Gateway to the World's Lanugages. | Click here to
see my resume.
(I have a job now, but feel free to look anyway!) |
| Here's a slick (for a novice) imagemap I created that links to some Science Fiction-related sites. |
