RETURNS

You may return an item within 60 days of the original order date as long as:

The toys were purchased from Smart Start Toys.
The toys are new and unopened with no signs of wear or use. The original packaging must be intact, all tags must be attached, and documentation, parts and accessories must be included. Dollhouses and play kitchens must still be in their original boxes and must not have been assembled.
You have contacted Smart Start Toys for a Return Authorization Number (RA#). Please email SmartStartToys@hotmail.com or call 978-239-3038 to let us know your order number and which items will be returned, so that we can issue a Return Authorization.
The return postage has been paid. We will not accept COD return shipments.

Unless the return is due to an error by Smart Start Toys, we do not refund return shipping costs.

We recommend that you use the original shipping box and materials and ship it via UPS or US Postal Service with insurance.

Please write the RA# on the return shipping label.

Once we have received the returned items, you will receive a refund minus shipping charges, shipping surcharges, and coupons, credits, or promotional discounts. Refunds will be issued to the original credit card or Paypal account or sent as a check from Smart Start Toys for purchases made by check or cash. If you paid for your purchase with a gift certificate, your refund will be issued as a merchandise credit.

We will notify you by e-mail once the package has been received and processed and your refund has been issued. Please allow 14 days for the return to be received and processed.

Damaged or Defective items

Please be sure to open shipping boxes as soon as possible after delivery to ensure that nothing was damaged during shipment. If an item was damaged in shipment, please keep all of the packaging materials and call Smart Start Toys at 978-239-3038 or email SmartStartToys@hotmail.com within 15 days of delivery. Please do not ship the item back to Smart Start Toys unless requested to do so.

If you receive a defective item, we will assist you in contacting the manufacturer to get a replacement item or parts. Please contact Smart Start Toys at 978-239-3038 or email SmartStartToys@hotmail.com within 15 days of delivery.

Exchanges

To exchange an item, please place a separate order for the new item, and return the unwanted item by following the instructions above.

Refusal of Delivery

If an order delivery is refused and must be returned to Smart Start Toys, the customer will be responsible for the costs to ship the order to the customer and back to us. When we have received the order back, you will receive a refund minus shipping charges, shipping surcharges, and coupons, credits, or promotional discounts. Refunds will be issued to the original credit card or Paypal account or sent as a check from Smart Start Toys for purchases made by check or cash. If you paid for your purchase with a gift certificate, your refund will be issued as a merchandise credit.
