Frank Walsh, Writer
frank.walsh@philadelphiawriters.com

Sprung from the anthracite wastes of Northeast PA, Frank Walsh, came to be involved in the publishing, promotion, and social/ political underground resistance, as regards art and poetry, especially, on the Philly scene since 1974: poetry- arts magazines, HYBRIS, POETRY NEWSLETTER, RED SPADE, DADAZEN, OZONE, TOUCH OF LATEX, PHILADELPHIA INDEPENDENT, HINGEONLINE, THE SCHUYLKILL LITERARY JOURNAL, among others. Complicity pure and simple if not conspiracy: bi- monthly literary column for the UNIVERSITY CITY PRESS, active ULA member (occasionally appearing as the "Masked Perfesser"), co- independent editor, poetry, for DEADDRUNKDUBLIN.COM, currently facilitating creative writing and public performance workshops at the KAILO- MANTUA ART CENTER in the West Philly hood, etc. Instigating and nurturing spoken word series all over the City for the past three decades besides crashing others, most recently: 5SPOT, ASPACE, PHILADELPHIA FREE LIBRARY, ROBBINS, FESTIVALE CUBANO, THE VERVE POETRY FESTIVAL at the Rotunda. Off and on participation in the underground arts exhibitionist circus, especially KILLTIME, as well. Live street action and performance with such local Jazz luminaries such as Bill Lewis, Elliot Levine, and Ahmad Rashid. "I’ll try to do my best for PAW PRINT, I believe in their mission, though I’m a person without beliefs."
