I'm the owner of this huge house, and your host, Janie. I'm an American, but bone in Karuizawa, Japan. I'm working as a nurse/medical consultant in Philadelphia. After I became a nurse, I've worked in Japan for 2 years. I forgot some Japanese though I still remember a lot of Japanese medical words.

I have 2 sweet dogs; 6 years old male Rottweiler, BB, and 3 years old female, Deja. They are friendly though normally they stay either outside or in the basement. If you don't like dogs, don't worry, they are not around you.

私がこの大きな家のオーナー、そして皆さんのホームステイ・ホストのJanie(ジェイニー)です。私は100％アメリカ人なんですけど、生まれは何と日本の軽井沢なんです。今は看護婦/医療コンサルタントとしてフィラデルフィア市内で働いているのですが、その昔日本で看護婦として2年間働いたこともあるんですよ。日本に住んでいたのは随分前のことで沢山日本語忘れてしまったけど、昔覚えた医療用の日本語はまだ覚えてることが多いかもしれないわ。

ところで家には2匹の犬がいるんです。6歳のオスのロッドワイラーのBB(ビィビィ)と3歳の雑種のメスのDeja(ディジャ)。2匹ともとても人懐っこいんだけれど、いつもは外か地下室でいるの。仮に犬の苦手な人でもいつもは寄ってくることはないので心配しないでくださいね。
