Q. 9/2/2009:
can you confirm the time and place of this Sat JV game?
A. Philomath
High School football field @ 8:30am. Please remember you can check the
website for updates.
Q. 826/2009: Could you clear up a little confusion about
the shirts for the players, thanks. Does the players need to buy a
polo shirt to wear to away games or is it included in the uniform?
Also, he never received his camp t-shirt, is the polo in place of this?
He was not real clear. Will the guys be getting there number soon so we
can have them printed on items we may order?
A.
The
kids who attended camp and paid will get their polo, so Team member will
get his when they arrive. He was assigned a number last week if he was
at camp and went out selling tickets.
Q. 8/3/09: I was injured and it will take a couple of
weeks to recover. Should I still come to the conditioning?
A. Yes, even if you are injured you should come to all the
events if you want to be part of the team. You can at least participate
at some level at the events. Even if you just watching and learning, It
will be a benefit to you and the team.
- C. 7/28/09: I did hear from a couple of parents who have incoming
freshmen. Their boys are a bit apprehensive about practicing with the
older boys. One mother suggested that the senior boys (all or some) try
to make an effort to contact the younger boys (through text messages,
email, facebook, etc) and reassure them that there will be no hazing, no
excessive force, etc against the younger players.
R. Coach Muir: This may
have been more the norm 8 or 9 years ago, but these few guys we have
playing right now are pretty good role models. My best suggestion is to
have those incoming freshman attend camp get around the rest of the team
and they will see that we all on the same page, which is not to pick on
each other, but to help achieve goals like reaching the playoffs and
having a successful season. We more than anything else right now need
bodies, I will guarantee each of you freshman that does turn out will
get a lot of playing time and will enjoy their time playing football
this fall. I am not saying its going to be easy, we will work harder
than any other HS, but it will be worth it in the end. I will work with
some of the older guys contacting the incoming kids this upcoming week.
Q. 7/6/09:
Is football
doing a Jamboree (formerly SOS) in August? If so, what is the
date/time.Thanks!
A. We will have a Warrior football Scrimmage August 29th
at 11AM. We haven't heard if there is going to be a Jaboree or SOS day
yet.
Q. 7/6/2009:
are the
practices this week for all players or just the players going to
camp? what about
the saturday scrimage?
A. Practice is open for anyone who wants to come. Saturday
scrimmage is for sophmores thru Seniors, no matter if they went to Camp
Rilea or not
Q. 6/25/2009:
do you
know if people not going to camp if they can still go to the
Tuesday, July 7th thru Thursday, July 9th, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. thanks
A. Anyone can come to the practices.
Q. 6/25/2009:
From June
28-July 1, the Wrestling Team will be at the OSU Wrestling Camp, so none
of those boys will be able to make it on June 30 to pick up their gear.
I don't know how many boys that affects, but definitely at least one of
mine. Is there another time that they can get their gear?
A. The boys that can not make it on June 30th can come pickup gear
before practices on July7th thru 9th. This is for only Camp Rilea
attendees.
Q. 6/10/2009:
I WAS
WONDERING IF I WAS TO LATE TO SIGN CODY UP FOR FOOTBALL THIS SUMMER
A. It is not to late to sign up for Summer football. The sooner the
better, but can sign up up to the day of the events.
Q. 6/9/2009: Just came across the helmet paper again and wondered
what the deadline is for getting the order in.
A. There is no deadline, but
the it is best to order them (month) before football practice starts so
you player will have them during practice.
