In 1986, I decided to make a list of my
all-time favorite albums. Then I could look back years later and
marvel (or laugh) at how my musical tastes have changed. I made this
list every year or two until I got married and got a real job.
Then I tried my best to update the list every five years or so.
This is the first time I've made the list since 1999 when I was
unemployed and had lots of time on my hands!
First things first: this is a list of
MY FAVORITE albums to listen to... not "the best" or most-influencial.
So don't get your panties in a wad over Fiona Apple or
whatever. And YES, I can cheat and list greatest hits albums
like "Remastered" rather than force myself to choose a
favorite Zeppelin album. It's my list! lol
This
wasn't an easy task for a guy with 6,000 CDs, but it's a pretty solid
representation of my tastes. Here ya go for 2005...
