Unknown to most humans a worm whole existed out side of the galaxy only a few light Years away from R7. Inter Galactic Empires made use the wormholes to travel from galaxy to galaxy. In the middle of the 3rd Century two such empires decided to take control of Phylinia after learning of it’s great resources.
Not knowing what type of opposition the two empires the Cowerse Union and the Goradeons sent a large armada of battle ships to Phylinia. The battle fleets congregated in the Ort cloud and spent 2 years motoring the Phylinia activities. They decided that taking the star system by force would be very easy. First the armada took out all the defenses of Earth2 while aiming at mostly military targets many civilians were killed, do to the fact that most of the population centers were in close proximity to there military establishments. The nuclear pulse rays caused mushroom cloud explosions in and around many large population centers.
