Note from Harlan: This is a strange entry as an Eduard Pittelkau came to America with Anna and Emil Pittelkau in eighteen eighty-two. Also, Christine says in nineteen hundred to the census taker in Portland, Oregon that she has had eight children of which seven were living. A family story says one drown while swimming the river………….. Naming tradition says that the next male child born will be named the same as that which died. The Eduard who came to America was 20 in 1882, therefore, the Eduard who came to America with Anna and Emil could have been the second Eduard of Christines and Daniels, or this one survived.
