Make Your Own Shadow Puppets!

Mouse Princess Shadow Puppet

• Cardstock paper
• A printer
• Bendy straws
• Tape
• Scissors
• 1 brass paper fastener

1. Print out this picture on cardstock (or other heavy paper)

2. Cut out all three pieces

3. Cut, or use a hole punch to remove the white dots on your paper

4. Attach the head to the neck by placing a brass paper fastener through the head and neck holes and bending the prongs apart. (TIP: you can bend the prongs in half again to make them smaller)

5. Attach the arm to the body the same way.

6. Tape a straw vertically (up and down) to the back of the body of your mouse, leaving enough room to hold the straw at the bottom

7. Next open two bendy straws so they are flexable.

8. Tape the small ends of the straws to the backs of the head and arm.

9. Hold your puppet up to a shadow screen and move the straws to make your puppet move.
