How to Make Your Own Tabletop Puppet Stage
You will need:
- An old cardboard box (the larger your box,
the larger your stage can be)
- Pen, pencil, or marker
- Wraping paper
- Wide tape (wide masking tape, packaging
tape, etc.)
- Strong scissors
- Optional trimmings
- Help from an adult
1.
Cut off any top flaps that might be on your card board box.
2.
On the bottom of your box, draw a large square. You need to leave about two inches between your square and the edge of the box (this will make it more stable.)
3.
With the help of an adult, cut out the square from the bottom of the box.
4.
Wrap the box as if it were a gift. You can cut a X into paper that covers openings and wrap the edges of the X in to cover the stage opening.
5.
Now you can decorate your stage any way you like.
6.
Lay your box on its side on a table and you have a puppet stage.
