We recognize human life is sacred because God creates life to be in relationship with Him.
We are called to be God's hands and feet to help make St. Joseph Catholic Church a center of life. We're only successful when we turn first to prayer. We dedicate time for education about life issues, for helping meet the needs of the most vulnerable and for advocacy on their behalf in the public arena.
We do this in a spirit of love, as Jesus showed us, to replace the culture of death that surrounds us with a culture of life.
Activities We're Currently Working On
October - Respect Life month. Spiritual adoption program begins. Holy Hour for Life each Sunday after 10:30am mass. We're inviting a speaker for all masses 10/13-14. See our information table in the gathering space throughout the month.
December - Sign-up for the 2008 March for Life; sign our petition to be delivered to state lawmakers.
January - On January 22, 2008 we're chartering a bus to participate in the annual March for Life at the state capitol in Olympia. This is the largest statewide pro-life event every year. Make your plans now to take this day off work.
Join LifeChain for monthly peaceful, prayerful witness to the sacredness of human life. LifeChain stands for life at 148th Ave NE and NE 24th Street in Bellevue holding signs with positive messages the first Sunday of every month from 2-3:30pm. Awaken in every heart reverence for the work of your hands, and renew among your people a readiness to nurture and sustain your precious gift of life.
