Christmas Jazz Vespers (ERL)
For SATB, mezzo soprano solo and piano, with obligato parts for flute, violin and clarinet.
A set of six arrangements of well known carols in jazz style.
Choral parts are easy to moderate difficulty. Obligato parts also available for other instruments.

   Upbeat, syncopated setting after an a cappella introduction by soloist.
2. Infant Holy, Infant Lowly (SATB, solo, clarinet and piano) (view music)
   Lovely Polish carol in a slow ballad setting. Clarinet part moderately difficult.
3. Unto Us Is Born A Son (SATB, solo, piano) (view music)
   Very lively setting of this old carol from Piae Cantiones, 1582. Piano part somewhat difficult.
4. Once In Royal David's City (SAB, solo, violin and piano) (view music)
   A gentle ballad setting of a favorite English carol. Easy choral parts.
5. God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen (SATB, solo, flute and piano) (view music)
   English carol given very lively treatment; the 5/4 time signature brings an interesting twist to a well known song. Flute part moderately difficult.
6. Silent Night (SATB, solo, violin and piano) (view music)
   A slow, jazz waltz setting of this favorite carol, enhanced by the violin obligato. Provides a peaceful ending to the set.

We Believe This Is Jesus: The Life Of Christ In Spirituals (ERL)
