My Biography

My writing days are young, although I comb hair of gray (as evidenced from my family's picture page). I was a bookkeeper at Brewer Oil Company for 16 years (as of November 2001). I am a native New Mexican.

My husband, Pat (click here to view his web page), had been in the public education field for 38 years. His most recent "principal-ship" being in the Artesia Public Schools System (Artesia, NM).

We both started our next career move-RETIREMENT-in November 2001. We didn't realize that it would be so wonderful. It allows us to spend more time with our family and get in lots of writing time.

We attend the church of our choice: First Baptist Artesia. I frequent a local Community Bible Study here in Artesia. I am getting ready to start year "7" of Community Bible Class. The structure at CBS is an excellent way to learn God's word and it has brought me a new awakening of the Bible.

My husband and I have returned from a Mission trip to New York City (July 10, 2005). We conducted a clinic for UPWARD BASKETBALL, in "The Bronx", where we taught the basics of basketball and learning about Jesus. It was awesome to be a part of this groundwork which will continue throughout this summer, and another FOUR years.

    • I grow in my writing skills as I participate in these organizations. We have poetry contests, poetry readings, and poetry critique groups, all of which hones my writing abilities.
