The word "turnpike" must be derived from the Latin word meaning "under construction." Pennsylvania and Ohio are repaving an inordinate percentage of their turnpike miles this year.

Despite the conspiracy, I made GREAT time to Iowa. Leaving Pittsburgh circa 1:00 pm est, arriving Des Moines 9:57 pm cst. That's 782 miles in just under 10 hours baby.
